The world’s otherness, its beauty and the mystery, can re-dignify

‘Sunset, Moonlight and Wattle Flowers’. Acrylic on 30x30cm canvas.
‘Sunset, Moonlight and Wattle Flowers’. Acrylic on 30x30cm canvas.
I painted both with the same theme in mind. They could be seen as a diptych, but also work well on their own.
The story of these two paintings is about time and distance and travelling from one end of the State to the other; the Wattle trees in flower for Spring, rainforests and eucalypts, cows, sheep, roads and rivers that intersect the landscape, and each other along the way. It is a Tasmanian story, with Tasmanian scenes, and the ocean at its end.
