Lotta Road 2

The latest in my series of Lotta Road. Acrylic on canvas, approx 25cmx40
A couple of lighter areas to complete and one or two highlights, but otherwise happy. Achieving my goal of loosening up,and just staying focused - and of doing a painting in a day, at last!

The Pink Bunny

The Pink Bunny, March 2016, acrylic on canvas, approx 30cmx45cm

Testing out textures, especially since it was painted over a previous painting with textures already there. Tried to incorporate this into the artwork and add more; and give Pink Bunny just a little bit of attitude as well.

'I'm  hanging up my dancing shoes and coming for some tea. I'm walking from the past to you in my yellow and blue feet. I am Pink Bunny; please don't mess with me'.

Pink Bunny was a very patient model (even when she/he got a few bits of paint on her/him during the process).
The painting was for an Easter present, so have not been able to post it before now.

Lotta Road

Lotta Road, acrylic on canvas, approx 30cmx45cm

First landscape in a while. Almost pleased with the looser style I am working on.
A few minor changes made since posting.

Lotta Love

Lotta Love, Acrylic on canvas, Aprox 35cmx40cm

This is Lotta Love for the Sisters series, all done and dusted. It goes with the 'The Ning-A-Nings' image of her little sister.

Driving along, or sometimes walking on Lotta Road, this little grandgirl would dance or run along the road singing her favourite songs, among them, Neil Young's song: 'It's gonna take a lot of love to change the way things are ... It's gonna take a lot of love and we won't get to far... but if you look in my di-ection and we don't see eye to eye, my heart needs alating and so do I...'

Her favourite Ning-A-Ning (guinea pig) was Lola.

 The Ning-A-Nings

Another completed painting for the Sisters series. Still working on the one of her sister (see previous posts).

Acrylic on canvas,
Approx 35cm x 40cm.

Incomplete, but almost there. Another two in the 'Sisters' series. These will be called 'Ning-a-Nings' as the younger sister used to call the guinea pigs. Still trying to achieve a simpler and looser approach to application of paint. The younger child image achieves this better, but got a way to go to loosening up.
