Ordinary lives, ordinary things, familiar places - the stuff of life - the cycles, the interconectedness of life on this planet, is the philosophy behind what I try to recreate in my artwork; be they drawings, paintings or other works. Casting Spells - Dec 2018
Ordinary lives, ordinary things - the stuff of life - the cycles, the interconectedness of life on this planet, is the philosophy behind what I try to recreate in my artwork; be they drawings, paintings or other works. Enjoy
'I cast a Spell On You', Grandfather and Grandgirl. 30-12-18.
This is the second in a series of Grandfather and Grandchild with book. (The first was Poppy Phil and Grandson. the next will be Grompi and Grandgirl.)
And then, a little colour to brighten it up and add some context.

Girl and Flowers
Girl and Flower Garden 18-12-18
This Rose study is a trial with watercolour pencils. I am trying to find a technique where i can still do studies and completed images in a relatively short time, like in a drawing, but using some colour and a brush - i.e. painting!
In this study, first I coulred in a drawing of a rose...
...then I added water.
Not sure about the outcome. I still prefer like using watercolour on its own. I may just use wc pencils for highlighting in future.

Fruit, Flowers and Dreams. For Great Nana - Dec 2018
(2) The Visitor. 17-12-18 (1)
Image (2) is an attempt at making the figure on the right look more part of the whole. I added a hand and softened the features a little.
In Dreams. 06-12-18
This was drawn when I had no reference, but needed to do something as I was leaving to go somewhere for a while and would not necessarily have time to draw.
