The latest in my series of Lotta Road. Acrylic on canvas, approx 25cmx40
A couple of lighter areas to complete and one or two highlights, but otherwise happy. Achieving my goal of loosening up,and just staying focused - and of doing a painting in a day, at last!Ordinary lives, ordinary things, familiar places - the stuff of life - the cycles, the interconectedness of life on this planet, is the philosophy behind what I try to recreate in my artwork; be they drawings, paintings or other works. The Pink Bunny
The Pink Bunny, March 2016, acrylic on canvas, approx 30cmx45cm
Testing out textures, especially since it was painted over a previous painting with textures already there. Tried to incorporate this into the artwork and add more; and give Pink Bunny just a little bit of attitude as well.
'I'm hanging up my dancing shoes and coming for some tea. I'm walking from the past to you in my yellow and blue feet. I am Pink Bunny; please don't mess with me'.
Pink Bunny was a very patient model (even when she/he got a few bits of paint on her/him during the process).
The painting was for an Easter present, so have not been able to post it before now.

Lotta Road
Lotta Road, acrylic on canvas, approx 30cmx45cm
First landscape in a while. Almost pleased with the looser style I am working on.
